I used to do a lot on LinkedIn and got very good results but I am more focused on X now and my LinkedIn needs some serious updating that I have been putting off
LinkedIn has changed a bit, but I don't think some people are changing with it. I still think LinkedIn is a #1 growth engine that could drive Substack growth (if used correctly). LinkedIn has been the main reason I've been able to run a full-time solo biz all these years.
LinkedIn is definitely a social media channel worth checking out and building your presence on, especially if your target audience is hanging out on there. Wondering if you've managed to crack how to get paying subscribers?
Max, right now I monetize with digital products. I keep my main content free and then offer more help through a recorded masterclass and playbooks.
However, when you do get paid subscribers, you need to make it like the next step. Your free content is step one, people who need more help are step two, inside your paid subscribers. Offer some recorded content, templates, special posts, etc. just for paid subs.
I feel it’s more about marketing services. I write fiction and the visibility on Substack is shocking. I also think as great as the article was it is not going to work for my writing ✍️ as it’s fiction.

What if your Substack topic has nothing to do with your career on LinkedIn?
This is such a great point. I write fiction so this isn’t going to work for me.
Do you think this works as well with storytellers? LinkedIn seems more about marketing services??

Loved the Masterclass. Still trying to figure out how to get the Playbook. Can you help?
Great tip.
I have the same questions as Rosemary & Shell
I've been leaving the linkedin goldmine alone lately . .and probably should dip in and bring at least my best prospects over here!
