Notes is like the power engine of your Substack jet.

Turbo charge it with value and see yourself soaring.

Thanks @Wes Pearce for always dishing out value.

@escapethecubicle - I really like the look of your masterclass as I am going to launch a publication next week. But I did see you mention in an earlier article that you had a huge LinkedIn following prior to coming across to Substack. Does this notes strategy work for people starting from scratch?

Hi Sharon, thanks for the comment.

I did have a LinkedIn following, but actually I just wrote a post today that about 40% of my new subscribers have been through Notes. I didn’t have any Notes followers when I started, so can definitely start from scratch.

Here’s a link you can still join. If you join after the class is sent out today, I’ll forward you the recording:

Thanks Wes. I notice you have two masterclasses - newsletter growth and the notes workshop. Which one would you recommend first? Does the newsletter masterclass also cover how to optimise the use of notes?

Hi Sharon, if you’re brand new I’d start with my main Substack Growth Class first.

I do talk some about Notes in the first class, too. That will give you a good overall foundation to start growing.

Here’s a link to the Substack Growth Class:

I’m not sure if you’re in my Chat, but I have a free Chat for questions and we do a weekly Notes Boost. It’s where everyone shares their note for the day. That would be a great place to start with notes. You’ll learn from what others are doing.

That’s brilliant Wes, many thanks :-) I will go for this option. I’m really excited about converting my current Kit email newsletter into a Substack Publication.

I have been reading articles on Substack for years, but I am a complete newbie when it comes to interacting on the platform. I have just found your chat, so I will join you all there. Do you have a specific day for your weekly notes boost?
