Wes, I have to appreciate how masterfully you structured this piece - identifying the pain point of endless free content consumption, showing the middle-ground solution, and backing it up with real results. It's like you're teaching the method while using it. Pretty meta!

I'll be honest - having just left my corporate exec role 6 months ago, I've been too proud (i.e. ego still inflated) to consider buying digital products. You know the mindset: "I've got enough experience, I just need to organize all this free knowledge better..." (my super organized but barely used Notion vault 😅).

But you've shifted my perspective a little bit more today.

Coincidently, after a million false starts, I finally launched my Substack yesterday, and your message about the gap between knowledge and implementation hit home. Maybe it's time to put some skin in the game.

Here's to actually doing something with all that stored knowledge in 2025. Thanks for the wake-up call - sometimes you need someone to hold up a mirror and show you your own BS.

I have to admit I've purchased but not implemented. I'm not even sure where to go to find it! Let's fix that today.

I write about my SubStack journey, and try to encourage people in theirs.

I have noticed that I get a lot of interest in two areas.

1. The SubStack void and how to get out of it

2. You are the niche

Do you think that creating products around these ideas would be worthwhile?

The digital products world is one I want to enter this year. I just don’t know if these are good places to start.

I feel this part your article. I'm in the situation the person who DMd you. I need a tiny bit of course correction and suggestions for what I do.
