You just articulated what I just experienced. A simple note with a photo of a flower on one of my plants with a brief comment that just came out of me when I took the photo… something like, this finally bloomed, I love that this little-flower-that-could persisted. It didn’t care about human-made chaos swirling around the world every day. It just did what it was meant to, showed off its strength and beauty anyway. I didn’t think about what wrote. It just came to me in that moment. I thought it’s not much but it’s real, even if momentary. I kept getting many notifications on my phone a few days later, assumed they were everyday things. I finally paid attention. It was likes of my simple but sincere Note of a clematis bloom.

I read all the comments and learned that people were responding to something about the combo of my pretty picture connected to the world today —in spite of it. I learned from everyone who noticed and told me why. I’m grateful and feel even better about finding another layer of beauty among kind people, which I am still receiving feedback on. A little ray of sun breaking through darkness.
