I loved this post. I'm so over complicated, time consuming systems! I came to Substack because it felt uncluttered and I could do what I love most without the distraction of all the things. This simple note system fits in with that nicely. Thank you. I am very tempted to get your workshop. I loooove templates.

I'm over complicated systems, too. If you like templates, I'm about to open my Substack Growth Squad (paid subscription here on Substack) and sending out a new Notes template for members every Monday. :)

This is useful and helpful. I relate to the sentiment about being in a coffeeshop with friends on Substack!

How lovely to read something practical and written in accessible, plain English. I read and though "a-ha" I've been overdoing it with Substack, Blue Sky and You Tube. .. and that means I lose threads all the time. I've even neglected my Substack and not posted. Thank you for the inspiration.

Loving your advice and the benefit of your experience, @Wes Pearce. Trying to follow your advice about Notes. Despite trying a few different things, it seems my Notes are drips in a fast-emptying bucket. At least my longer posts are reaching a handful of subscribers, but the notes seem to go AWOL.

Hello, I am looking for people who write on subjects around family businesses. This could include communication, financial literacy, succession, personal development, conflict resolution. If you have any ideas or sources for me, could you please post them below? Thank you.

The best thing about this post is NO GATEKEEPING WHATSOEVER.

HANDS DOWN one of the best posts about substack growth I have read.

So elaborate yet to the point.

No fancy jargon.

No external tools.

Love it! ✌️

Thanks. There's a lot to chew on, and act on here. I had one Note slowly build some virility once but haven't been able to recreate the magic. https://substack.com/@alignandthrive/note/c-91669673
