I think for you it works, Wes, because you’re selling something people want - how to grow on Substack. I have nothing to offer except my writing. I do notes most days and restack other articles, I engage in comment sections and I do get followers and subscribers. But it is slower and nowhere near 20-30 a day. Maybe one or two.
I'm not sure that is really true - it is not belief, it is a fact. It's easy to blame me by saying I'm not positive enough, or I don't believe hard enough. This is how it works for me. I follow the formula, I've analyzed my notes, I was consistent up until we travelled this summer. I just don't get 20-30 a day.
A post i actually red... out of my 100+ subscriptions. Proof that writing for the intended audience and their pain point still works That being said, you've been at this for a lot longer than me, and the algorithm has learned who to surface your content to.

People from every single niche are growing with Notes. If you believe it doesn’t work for you, it won’t.
