Great insights, but I’d challenge the assumption that every writer needs to chase virality and automation. Some of the most successful newsletters are built on deep, niche expertise and slow, steady organic growth.
QuickViralNotes.xyz is ridiculous, it is the most woke AI tool I ever seen. More woke that Gemini, if this is possible. Not sure how can be useful, other than for generating virtue signalling notes. Just tried it. Or should I say "them"? :))
Wow! This was incredibly helpful and explained some of the seemingly random spikes in traffic and engagement I’ve experienced as I’ve flailed about with these tools—essentially throwing spaghetti at the wall and trying to figure out what sticks.
I’ve already started planning what I want to do with my updated welcome email… 🤔
On a scale of 1 to 10, my growth is a 4. I’ve just returned from a hiatus, with a new focus, but I feel like I’m still in transition (or starting over!): www.brunettegardens.com
I’m a digital marketing consultant with almost a decade of experience helping small businesses grow using social media and AI. My focus is on making marketing simple, actionable, and human, so even non-techy founders can get real results without feeling overwhelmed.
Oh man. Using of AI is already overboard, and you’re just suggesting using it more. Substack will soon turn into ai-generated pile of meaningless worlds.
Advanced editor features? Where are they?
Yes, I was wondering the same thing. I don't think it exists anymore if it did then.
Yeah… columns and better image control?
Yeah I don’t see them either.

Thank you Wes! I'll need to start with your first suggestion, the welcome email.
Hi Wes. This is so helpful. I am going to work on these when I tackle my Substack in March. Thank you!!
Great article Wes. My Substack looks at mindfulness, cold water swimming and happiness. This week I wrote about the ethics of sharing other people's stories which was caused some debate https://open.substack.com/pub/yourhappierandhealthierlife/p/the-cost-of-oversharing-on-substack?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=3mduji I am growing slowly but notes does not seem to give me good results.

This is an incredible amount of helpful, actionable information. Thank you so much!

Why do I keep seeing this?
This is really helpful. Especially for folks who just starting out like myself 😉

Excellent, I’ll have to hand write notes from this later today.
This is a great guide - I've saved it but how do you insert / create the HTML Snippets please?
